The American Action Network (ANN), a national center-right advocacy group, is going after Congresswoman Cindy Axne in a new campaign. ANN announced today that the group was investing over $5 million in the push and would target 39 separate districts across the nation. Of the $5 million, $300,000 is allocated for Iowa’s Third Congressional District, represented by Democrat Cindy Axne.

The issue advocacy and advertising campaign seeks to stop the $3.5 Trillion Budget “reconciliation” proposal promoted by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Joe Biden.

According to ANN, the ads will “spotlight that, as families face rising costs on everything from gas to groceries, liberals are pushing to take even more from workers through trillions in new spending, sky-high tax increases and a socialist prescription drug plan that would limit patients’ access to lifesaving medications.”

“Inflation is already stretching families’ paychecks thinner than ever, and now Nancy Pelosi and her allies are running to take even more from their wallets with enormous tax increases and trillions for their far-left political priorities,” said AAN President Dan Conston.

“Liberal policies have brought disastrous consequences for workers from rising prices to a crippling labor shortage, the last thing we need are tax hikes that further hurt the economy and a takeover of the prescription drug market.”

In a statement to Iowa Field Report, the group’s Communications Director Calvin Moore said, “Iowa families are seeing the effects of disastrous liberal policies first hand from rising inflation to a crippling labor shortage, the last thing they need is Cindy Axne to pass new tax hikes and a government takeover the prescription drug market, too.”

The American Action Network is no stranger to Iowa airwaves. The organization has produced several other ads targeting Axne in the last few months. They can be found here and here.
