Updated: Turek’s “No Corporate PAC Money” Line Stops at the Memo Field
f the principle were “corporate money doesn’t belong in my race,” the answer would be easy: don’t take the money, no matter which Democratic senator’s committee rewrites the check. Turek didn’t do that. He took the LPAC route — the version of the pledge that survives a debate stage and melts under an FEC download.
So here’s the honest reading of the slogan. “No corporate PAC money” rejects a corporate PAC stamp on the contribution. It does not reject corporate PAC money washing through Democratic leadership committees first. Voters who thought they were buying a grassroots purity test got a paperwork distinction.

At an April forum hosted by Progress Iowa and End Citizens United, Turek called federal immigration enforcement “inhumane” and “unjust.”
“I cannot believe that right now in the United States of America, I’m having to tell my wife to keep her passport with her at all times,” Turek said, according to Iowa Capital Dispatch.
He then made his position on border enforcement funding clear: “At the United States Senate, I would not support any DHS funding without serious reforms to ICE.”
