Chris Jones Thinks Farming “Isn’t That Hard.” Iowa Farmers Would Like a Word
“a lot of them are millionaires. They’re really wealthy guys. They’re making three times as much as the average Iowan.” Then came the line every farmer in the state should tattoo on Jones’ campaign lawn signs: “a lot of this grain farming now is not that hard. They’re only working a few weeks out of the year.”
The Register Says Marco Battaglia Can Be “Replaced” on the Ballot. Iowa Law Says Otherwise
Battaglia is done. Off the ballot. Not appealing to the Iowa Supreme Court, at least not that anyone’s confirmed. So naturally, the next move is for Iowa Libertarians to just… swap him out for someone else through a district convention, as if he’d merely stepped aside rather than been legally removed.
That’s the part the Register got wrong.
The Des Moines Register’s “Fact Check” Fact-Checked Itself Right Into a Wall
The Register can keep calling this a smear campaign. But when the “debunking” boils down to technicalities and historical footnotes, the only thing actually getting fact-checked is the Register’s own credibility.
